Dogs are welcome on our organic farm, provided they are kept under control, and are recently wormed and up-to-date with vaccinations. They are not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms.

There are lots of lovely places to walk with dogs and you can let them run off the lead in fields without stock in them. Our favourite beach allows dogs all year as it is completely covered at high tide twice a day.

Our own dogs are, a border collie called Patch who is also getting elderly (Patch loves chilren and playing ball but he doesn't run as fast as he did when he was young), Shep, another border collie, very good natured, but, like Patch, not very much use with the sheep. They are friendly with other dogs and with children. Megan, our wonderful Irish Wolfhound, died, aged 9, in August 2009.

Jess (named after our wonderful sheepdog, Jess) is a young dog (Born in the spring 2009). She is very friendly and bright and is already popular with our visitors.

A frequent visitor to the farm is Pickle, our daughter Mary's Labrador x German Pointer. She too is very friendly.

"... I really love the animals. Especially the dogs..I love them to bits..."
"...Patch was a 'gem' taking us for walks.."
